Age 67, of Wilmington, De, passed away at home on Friday, December 10, 2010.
Lew was born and raised in Trenton, N.J., the son of the late Lewis and Josephine Newcomer. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Randolph. Lew was a cross country truck driver for Harris Trucking Co. He was a member of the Newark Moose Lodge, he enjoyed woodworking, loved music, and was devoted to his cats, Mindy and Kate.
Lew was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Jacqueline F. Newcomer, in 2008. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Newcomer, his children, Karen Shields, Peter Bazzani, Kevin Bazzani, and Julie Webb; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be 4 PM on Tuesday, December 14, at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 3 PM. Burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE, 19801.
