Loida U. Guelen, age 62, of New Castle, DE formerly of Manhattan, New York, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016.
She was a longtime member of Richardson Park United Methodist Church.
Loida enjoyed reading, watching movies, listening to music and dancing, and observing the nature around her. She loved long rides in the car while traveling and exploring new places. Loida especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and visiting with her family from Bronx, New York. She liked having long talks with family and friends and going out to eat.
Loida is survived by her daughters, Angela and Julissa and her grandchildren, Devon and Cheyenne.
A memorial service will be at 1 PM on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Richardson Park United Methodist Church, 11 N Maryland Ave, Wilmington, DE 19804.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions towards the funeral expenses to Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 East Justis Street, Newport, Delaware, 19804. 302-998-8013
