Lori Ann Murphy, age 46, of Bear, formerly of Wilmington, passed away at home after a long illness on Friday, March 1, 2024.
Lori grew up in Union Park Gardens, attended St. Thomas Grade School and Delcastle High School.
Her many interests included pinball, collecting mushroom novelties, and watching Law & Order. She loved to cook, and especially enjoyed giving homemade treats to friends and family at Christmastime.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Murphy, grandmom, Eleanor Nasatka , aunt, Marian Schumann and uncle, Richard Schumann.
Lori is survived by her children, Michael Murphy and Alexis Murphy (Nathan Sipes); mother, Joan Murphy; brothers, Brian Murphy (Kim) and Kevin Murphy (Erin); her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Snickers, who would not leave her side during the last two weeks of her life.
A Memorial Mass will be held on March 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM, with visitation at 9:00 AM, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 345 Bear-Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701. Burial will be private.
