Louise C. Spencer, age 74, of Smyrna, formerly of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2020.
Louise graduated from P.S. DuPont High School and then attended the University of Delaware where she studied psychology and then earned her nursing degree. She then had a long career as a nurse at the Delaware State Hospital. Louise was a former member of Grace Baptist Church in Wilmington. She enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling and loved animals especially cats and dogs.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Katherine and Carl Spencer and her sister, Janet Chand.
Survivors include her nephew Joe Malatesta, Jr and friends, Pat Danvers and Faith Drummond.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Wilmington at 1:30 PM on Friday, January 17, 2020.
