Luis Santiago

Luis A. Santiago, age 59, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

Luis graduated from Henderson High School in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 1976. He was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Wilmington. Luis was his mother’s devoted caregiver until she passed away. He loved music, going fishing, playing the lottery and cooking. Most of all, Luis loved his family and his pets.

Luis was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Santiago and his parents, Salvador Santiago and Elba Santiago-Perez.

Survivors include his daughter, Sabrina (Leila) Burkholder; his grandchildren, Oakley and Ariana Burkholder; his siblings, Oscar Santiago, Gloria Rivera, Milagros Santiago, Salvador Santiago, Jr., Carmen Santiago, Iris Santiago, Olga Rivera; and Juan P. Santiago; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 9 am. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.
