Lynda F. Montoro

Lynda F. Montoro, age 77, of New Castle, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Lynda was a manager at McDonalds for 17 years and then worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, where she retired.

Lynda can be described as a strong, independent, loving and caring woman. She loved to help others and found joy in giving to the ones she loved. She was known as the best mom and gram in the world. Lynda loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and making her world famous mac & cheese. She was a huge Phillies fan, loved the movie Elf and the color purple.

Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Pearl Mills, and her brother, Harold Mills Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Anderson; son, James Montoro (Colleen); brothers, Wayne Mills, Jay Mills and Joey Mills; sister, Terri Hathaway (Scott); grandchildren, Kyra Brenneman, Josh Brenneman and Danielle Rodriguez (Ryan); and great grandchildren, Nykole Remedio, Alexis Mingo, Daniel Rodriguez and Kaden Rodriguez.
