M. Joyce Thurmon
Age 64, of Millsboro, formerly of Wilmington, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2012.
Joyce was a substitute teacher for many years at several schools in New Castle and Sussex counties. She was a member of the Independent Party of Delaware. Joyce enjoyed the beach, reading, taking walks and spending time with her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Grealy L. Thurmon in 1999 and her brother Jimmy Jaquette. She is survived by her children, David Wright, Karen Wright, Eric Peterson, Chris Peterson (Kathryne) and Jonathan Thurmon; her brother, David Maguigan; and her grandchildren, Douglas Stigile, Hailey Savage, Harper Savage, Alaina Peterson and Savannah Peterson.
Funeral Services will be 5PM on Tuesday, April 24 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 4 PM. Burial will be private.
