Age 89, of Seaford, formerly of Elsmere, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016.
Betty retired from the State of Delaware in 1991 after 24 years as an Executive Secretary. She was a member of Marshallton United Methodist Church and was a 1945 graduate of William Penn High School. Betty was an outstanding athlete, playing basketball, softball and golf. She enjoyed bird watching, hiking, swimming and the beach.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Clarence Donovan; her brothers, James Donovan, Robert Donovan and Ed "Sonny" Donovan and her sister, Bea Roberson. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Services and burial will be private.
In Lieu of flowers contributions in Betty's memory would be appreciated to either Bellevue State Park or Tri State Bird Rescue.
