On Saturday September 4, 2010, at the age of 74 went to be with the Lord who was watching over her beloved daughter Pam who preceded her in death in May 2004.
Born on Old Rag Mountain in Madison County, Virginia on July 10, 1936, daughter of Weda B. Sisk Dulaney and Aubrey L. Weakley. Madge moved to Delaware in 1965 and met and fell in love with her husband of 42 years, Roland M. Van Sant.
She is survived by her husnad and 6 children, Steve Brown and his wife Debbie, Jay Brown and his wife Roseanne, Mark Brown, Vanessa Hacket and her husband Don, Lisa Squier and Lois Ann Pugh and her husband Sam; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and her sisters; Ann Sophia and her husband Marshal and Lois Dick and her husband Ninan.
Madge's memory will live on in so many peoples hearts as she touched and meant so much to so many.
Funeral services will be 7 pm on Thursday, September 9 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 6 pm. Burial will be at 11am on Friday, September 10 at the chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE.
