On Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the age of 74. went to be with the Lord who was watching over her beloved daughter Pam who preceded her in death in May 2004.
Born on Old Rag Mountain in Madison County, VA on July 10, 1936, daughter of Weda B. Sisk Dulaney and Aubrey L. Weakley. Madge moved to Delaware in 1965 and met and fell in love with her husband of 42 years, Roland M. Van Sant. She is survived by her husband and 6 children; Steve Brown (Debbie), Jay Brown (Roseanne), Mark Brown, Vanessa Hackett (Don), Lisa Squier and Lois Ann Pugh (Sam); 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and her sisters; Ann Sophia (Marshal) and Lois Dick (Ninan).
Madge's memory will live on in so many peoples hearts as she touched and meant so much to so many.
Funeral services will be 7 pm on Thursday, September 9 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 6 pm. Burial will be at 11 am on Friday, September 10 at the chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Cheasapeake City Road, Bear.
The family suggests contributions in Madge's memory to the American Heart Association, 1501 Casho Mill Road, Suite 1, Newark, DE 19711.
