Mamie I Green, age 77, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2022.
Ms. Mamie graduated from Wilmington High School. She worked at the Wilmington Hospital as a dietician for 32 years.
Ms. Mamie was a foster grandmother and was very active working in her community and going on police ride alongs.
Ms. Mamie was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Onie Green; brother, Sidney Green and son, Purnell Green.
Ms. Mamie leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Audrey Thomas, Rebecca Southerland (Emanuel) and Tammy Green; two sisters, Audrey Ransom and Khabeerah Salim-Bey; her sister in law Charlotte Green; seven grandchildren Kwana, Kornelius, Dominque, Bernard, Antonio, Richard and Pryna; several great grandchildren and extended family including cousins, nieces, and nephews; and her 2 Good Friends Mrs. Vosie Brocks and Mrs. Doyle.
Services for Ms. Green will be held on May 1, 2022 at 4pm sharp at George Wilson Community Center, 303 New London Rd. Newark, DE 19711. Any questions please email ms9virgo@gmail.com.
