Age 85, of Newark, DE, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 22, 2008.
Mrs. Tear, a loving Mother, enjoyed people and had a zest for living. She lived a full and happy life. Mrs. Tear will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and friends. She worked fo H.M. Stevens Concessions at both Delaware Park & Brandywine Race Track for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Tear, Sr. and is survived by her children; Allene Ferguson and her husband Fred, Cookie Long and her husband Roger, Bonnie Tear, and Arthur W. Tear, Jr. and his wife Patricia; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm, Thursday, July 24th, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, DE. Funeral services will be 11am, Friday, July 25th in the chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, N. DuPont Hwy., New Castle, DE where burial will follow in the adjoining memorial park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Alzheimer's Residents at Governor Bacon Health Center, P.O. Box 559, Delaware City, DE 19706.
