Age 72 of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Christiana, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2008.Peggy was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was also a lifelong bowler at Pleasant Hills Lanes, a member of the Women's Wilmington Shuffleboard League, and the Women of the Moose in Newark.

Peggy enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble, visiting Delaware Park and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane McComas, her twin brother, John Cunane, Jr., and her granddaughter Melanie Bredemeier. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Charles M. Thorp; daughters, Connie Bredemeier & her husband Robert and Diana Skomorucha and her husband John; grandchildren, Jennifer Coleman, Amber Harkins & her husband, John; Irene McConlogue & her husband Gary; Samuel Coleman & his wife, Donna; Robert McComas, Katherine Webb and her husband Kyle; Andrew Skomorcha, Jason Bredemeier and Keith Bredemeier and his wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Mariah Harkins, Jarrett Harkins, Sammy Coleman, Cody Coleman, Thomas Webb, Abby McConlogue, Courtney McConlogue, Kirsten McConlogue and Montanna McConlogue; and her sister, Doris Moore and her husband Frank.

Funeral services will be 2pm, Thursday, August 28th, in the Chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, N. Dupont Hwy, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 1pm and where burial will follow. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, August 27th from 7-9pm, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport.
