Marge passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015. She was a homemaker and devoted mother. Marge enjoyed archery, pistol shooting, flower gardening and animals. She loved caring for children and enjoyed working at Little Vikings Daycare at St. Elizabeth.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas A. Smith in 1997. She is survived by her children, Joan E. Strickler, Judith Anne Baker (James), Jonathan L. Smith (Pennie), James T. Smith (Joanne), Jeffrey P. Smith (Renee) and Jacqueline M. Ascione (Anthony); 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Monday, July 13 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery.
The family would appreciate contributions in Marge's memory to Calvert Manor Nursing Healthcare Center, (Attention Activity Fund) 181 Telegraph Rd., Rising Sun, MD 21911.
