Marianna Dabson, age 92 of dover, DE, formerly of Wilmington, DE, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2008
Marianna was born July 14, 1916 in Marionville, VA, daughter of the late Lawrence Nottingham and Jennie Roberts Nottingham. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling, sewing, fishing and being a homemaker. Marianna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays. She was a life long member of the Eastern Star, Five Points Chapter #13, Newport, De and Peniel United Methodist Church also in Newport.
In addition to her parents Marianna was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Howard L. Dabson Sr., a son Howard (Lee) Dabson Jr., and a brother Roberts Nottingham.
Marianna is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Francine Dabson of Dover, DE, and a daughter and son-in-law Karen and Dr. Glenn Ehrlich of Gainesville, FL, a daughter-in-law Rosalie Dabson of Sarasota, FL, a sister and brother-in-law, Jennie Lou and George Cotton of wilmington, a brother, Lawrence M. Nottingham Jr., of Cape Charles, VA six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11am on Tuesday, September 2 at Peniel United Methodist Church where visitation will begin at 10:30am. Burial will be private.
