Martin Ford

Martin William Ford (Marty) 54, of New Jersey, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on February 20, 2025. Born in Jacksonville, Marty spent much of his life working in construction, specializing in building greenhouses. A true craftsman, he had a gift for woodworking and could turn the simplest materials into something beautiful.

Marty had a deep love for animals, always finding ways to create bigger and better spaces for his pets. He especially loved taking his dog, Freya, on long walks by the river. A devoted fan of hard rock music—the louder, the better—he lived life with passion and embraced his beliefs.

Marty met the love of his life online, and their bond brought him to New Jersey, where they built a life together. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn (Arensmeyer) Ford; Stepson, William Ervin; his father, Martin Frederick Ford (Fred); his brother, Luke Ford; sister-in-law, Jennifer Ford; and nieces, April Duggan, Brandy Griffin, and Haley Ford.

Per his wishes, no formal services will be held. His memory will live on through the love he shared and the creations he left behind.
