Age 52, of Selbyville, DE, left this world peacefully after his brave struggle with a debilitating disease, on Friday, April 10, 2009.
Marty was a 1974 graduate of Newark High School and enjoyed fishing, boating and gardening. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Marty was a carpenter by trade.
Survivors include his son, Jason of Wilmington, DE; his mother, Jean Rubick of Selbyville, DE; brothers, Gregg and wife Charlotte of Vero Beach, FL and John and wife Aprile of Wilmington, DE; 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
A memorial service will be 6 pm, Monday, April 20, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport where visitation will begin at 5 pm. Interment will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Marty's memory to www.woundedwarriorproject.org/, which assists wounded American Soldiers.
