Born on December 15, 1907, in Laurel, DE, to John and Hattie Marvel, she died after a long & courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, in Salisbury, MD.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother. She lived most of her life in Wilmington and was a member of Red Clay Presbyterian Church.
Her husband of 52 years, John G. Hall, died in 1979 and their only child, Judith in 1982. From that time forward she devoted herself to grandchildren, Oris (Trey)Horsey, III and Morgan Horsey and her friendships. She was preceased by her sisters, Nelva Marvel, Doris Eddy; and brother, Howard Marvel.
For the past 6 years, Mary was a resident in Genesis Nursing Center in Salisbury and taken care of by her granddaughter & niece, Sue Messick and Joyce Mills. In addition she is survived by nieces, Wesley Gregg, Ruth Evans, Pat Voynes and nephews, Don Rodenhieser and Jim Hall.
Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held in the spring and a date will be announced later.
