Mary L. Dierolf

Mary L. McEnery Dierolf, of Newport, formerly of New Castle, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 after battling a long illness.

Mary was a 1973 graduate of DeLaWarr High School. She worked as a Crossing Guard for 26 years before retiring. Mary was a member of Holy Spirit Church and a former member of Minquas Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Josephine McEnery.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Eugene Dierolf Jr; children, Regina McClure (Jerry), Joseph Dierolf (Michelle) and Eugene Dierolf III (Julie); sister, Marjorie Dougherty; grandchildren, Josie McClure, Tristan McClure and Adriana, Natalie, Miranda and Charlotte Dierolf; brother in law, Richard Dierolf (Gail); sister in law, Carol Mirabella (Dave) and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, June 25 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 26 at Nichols- Gilmore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery in Newport.
