Mary C. Lynch, age 93, was received by the Lord with open arms on Thursday, September 3, 2020.
Born in County Donegal Ireland, she answered to Mary, but was better known as Mom or Grammy. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and could often be found cooking for the family or playing cards in her Wilmington residence. She also made and enjoyed a mean cup of tea.
Grammy was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Lawson Lynch, as well as her son Jackie Lynch, her grandson Kyle Lynch and her great granddaughter Carsen Boyd. She is survived by her children, Kathy Howell, Billy and Susan Lynch, Michael and Donna Lynch, and Paul Lynch as well as her daughter-in-law, Sharon Lynch, her sister, Agnes McGeady, and 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Saturday, September 5 at St. Matthews Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington (Woodcrest) DE, 19804, where visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM. Burial will be private for the family at Cathedral Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate contributions in Mom's memory to Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713
