Of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Romont, WV, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 13, 2008.
Melba was a homemaker who loved animals, especially cats and dogs.She enjoyed country & standard music and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, of over 60 years, Raymond A. "Ray" Peck in 2002. Melba is survived by her children, Cheryl Stevens of New Lexington, OH, Bernard Peck of Bruce, WI, Sheridan Peck of Killeen, TX, Glennis Peck of Ocean View, DE, and Teresa Laing & Gerald Peck, both of Wilmington;
1 sister, Ludena Steele of Ansted, WV; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 1
great great grandson and her beloved pets, Goldie, Rocky and Tippie.
Funeral services will be 7pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St., Newport, where visitation will begin at 6 pm. Burial will be 10am, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
