Melinda Kelly died peacefully on March 12 at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Wilmington, Delaware at the age of 68.
Melinda was a gifted geriatric nurse. She had an innate sense of the kind of care that people needed. She had an easy laugh and a wonderful sense of humor. She made friends easily and had an open caring heart. Melinda’s beloved husband, James Kelly, was a nuclear physicist. His job took them to Los Almos, New Mexico, the Netherlands and finally to the University of Maryland.
Melinda is predeceased by her husband, James Kelly, her mother, Florence (McAuliffe) Forgues, her father, Louis Forgues, both of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, and her brother, Michael Forgues of Elkhart, Indiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Kelly, and granddaughter, Dealan Kelly, both of Bridgeport, Connecticut, her sister, Michele Forgues of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, her brother, Mark Forgues and sister-inlaw, Lynn Forgues of Littleton, Massachusetts, a niece, two nephews and many cousins. A private graveside service will be held in Melinda’s home town of Lunenburg, Massachusetts.
