Age 99, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Friday, October 8, 2010.
Mildred was a longtime member of Peniel United Methodist Church.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; Herbert I. and Helen Haines, sisters; Marion Hall and Helen Crompton, and brothers; Wilfred and Earl Haines. Survivors include her sons; James (Lorraine) of Harrington, Harold (Patricia) of Wilmington and Ronald (Kathy) of South Carolina, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, sisters; Dorothy Sturgis, Hilda Abrams and Ruth Irvin, and sister-in-law; Eileen Haines.
Memorial services will be 10:30 am on Monday, October 11 at Peniel United Methodist Church, Newport, where visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, N. DuPont PKWY, New Castle.
The family suggests contributions in Mildred's memory to Peniel UMC, 115 E. Market St., Newport, DE 19804.
