Mildred Charlotte Sampson Rush
Ms. Mildred Rush, 85, after a long illness went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2022. Ms. Rush was preceded in death by her parents Alfonzo Sampson and Lotte Charlotte Burris Sampson.
To cherish her memory, Ms. Rush leaves behind her sons Roosevelt Rush (Carmen,deceased), Acworth, GA; Anthony Sampson (Jackie), Philadelphia, PA, Rodney Sampson (Djuna, deceased) Newark, DE; daughter Ramona Homier (Thomas), Middletown, DE; and her sister Louise Sampson, Birmingham, AL. Ms. Rush also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, three sister-in-laws, two brother-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ms. Rush was born in Philadelphia but lived in Delaware with her daughter at the time of her passing. She was a retired seamstress for Progressive Knitting Mills for 45 years, working for the US Government supporting war efforts by making uniforms for our servicemen in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.
