Nicole M. “Nicki” Hill, age 45, of Bear, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Nicki graduated from Glasgow High School in 1997. She worked as a nanny for many years and has recently been doing environmental studies.
Nicki loved being a mother to her two children, an aunt, daughter and sister. She had a supernatural ability and love for animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed doing upholstery, carpentry and was incredibly mechanically inclined with automotive and motorcycle repairs. Nicki solved things with a creative approach, it wasn’t a matter of if she could solve it but when. She was very genuine, generous, had a great sense of humor, and most memorably, an infectious and unique laugh. Of all Nicki’s talents, caring and being there for the people that she loved came to her naturally and genuinely, she would do anything for anybody, especially in their time of need.
Nicki is survived by her daughter, Ruby M. Hill; son, Mike Hill III; parents, Tom and Marie Howell; siblings, Christi Anderson (Mike), TJ Howell (Elysia), Sean Howell (Heather), Joey Howell (Val), Sara Sunstrom (Erik), Megan Howell (Justin) and Riley Howell (Kenzie); aunts, uncles, 14 nieces and nephews and 1 great nephew.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Peniel United Methodist Church, 115 E. Market Street Wilmington, DE 19804. Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the SPCA.
