Norma Siemienski, age 89, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012 in the presence of her family.
Born in Coatesville, PA, Norma was a graduate of Avon Grove High School and Goldy-Beacom College. She worked as a legal secretary for 40 years. Norma enjoyed volunteering at Christiana Care, playing bingo and cards, fishing, dancing and spending time at the beach with her family. She was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Casimer; and her parents, Ralph Smale and Carrie E. Smale Benson. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Walker (Chris); her son, John Siemienski; her step daughters, Maryann Barrett ( Jim Rowe) and Irene Skibicki; 15 grandchildren,; 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Friday, July 6 at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, where visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Burial will be at Cathedral Cemetery, Lancaster Ave, Wilmington.
Norma's family would like to thank Vitas Hospice as well as the staffs of The Lorelton and Foulk Manor North for all their care and support. The family suggests contributions in Norma's memory to Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Drive, Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
