Olga Sanchez, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, at the age of 80 in Wilmington, Delaware. Born on January 22, 1945 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico to Ramon y Clara , she was a woman of unwavering love, kindness, and strength. Olga was known for her warm contagious smile and her generous spirit. Her favorite pastime was playing Dominoes, word search, and the kitchen. She loved cooking for friends, family, and visitors regularly. She dedicated her life to her family, always there with a listening ear and a comforting presence.
Olga was a 1963 graduate of P.S. Dupont High School. She worked as a supervisor at B.F. Rich for many years as well as housekeeping for one of the owners of the company. Olga was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Cursillista group.
Olga was preceded in death by her brothers, Domingo, Luis and parents, Ramon and Clara.
Olga is survived by her husband of 64 years, Cristobal; children, Cristobal Jr (Madeline), Luis (Beth), and Diana Carrasquillo (Ricardo); siblings, Aurea, Herminio (Socky) and Roberto (Nivia); grandchildren, Ricardo Jr (Krystal), Amanda, Christopher, Brandon (Olivia), Mya, Briana, Jenna and Sabrina and great grandchildren, Kadence and Karmen.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, May 2nd at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 1010 W 4th St, Wilmington, DE 19805 where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
Contributions in Olga’s memory may be made to the Kidney Association.
