Oscar J. Garcia, age 60, of Newark, born and raised in Nicaragua, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Oscar worked for the B.F. Rich Company for 19 years. He enjoyed Baseball and was an avid Phillies fan.
Oscar is predeceased by his brother, Jorge Rios.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Luz Herrera; son, Oscar J. Garcia Jr.; daughter, Mildred Garcia (Eric Garcia); grandchildren, Leonardo Fernedez and Luciana Garcia; sister, Sonya Garcia; brothers, Francisco Garcia and Jose Rios; nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at NICHOLS - GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 1 PM.
