Patricia Keen {Jockett)
1/13/35-2/17/22
Pat Keen (Jockett), daughter of the late Helen and Anthony Jockett rested her tired body in peace on Thursday February 17, 2022 with her daughter Patty by her side.
Pat was well known for her unconditional love of family and friends and taught others the lesson of never-ending kindness, love, and patience. These attributes are why her family, and many others are the way we are today, continuing to share that love, kindness and patience.
Pat loved to spend time with her family especially the younger ones. In her eyes children were the most precious things placed on this earth. She also enjoyed going to Dover Downs playing the slots and playing card games with her family,
Pat was a person who told you how she felt but we loved her honesty and straight forwardness. She will be fondly remembered for her one-line antics, wise cracks and old sayings.
Pat was born and raised in Wilmington, DE where she had lived until March 2000 before moving to Smyrna, DE to live with her daughter. She attended #19 school and received her accounting proprietorship from Goldey-Beacom school of business in 1955, she retired from the state of Delaware in June 1991 after 27 ½ years of service where she was employed as a janitress for the Red Clay School District.
She leaves behind a daughter Patricia Keen-Merrill of Smyrna, a son Robert A. Keen (Eileen) of Newark; 3 granddaughters : Marissa Merrill Wilson (Clinton), Courtney Cruz (Jorge), and Alison Keen. As well as 4 great grandchildren Ryan Perkins, Lucas Cruz, Izabel and Lane Wilson.
Services will be private at the request of the family.
