Patricia Miller

Patricia Walls Miller, age 79, of Millsboro, DE., passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, on December 23, 2014.

She was born in Wilmington, DE on July 6, 1935 and attended Henrik J. Krebs Elementary and Jr. High Schools in Newport, De and then graduate from Henry C. Conrad High School in 1953. She also graduate from Wesley Junior College in Dover, DE in 1955.

Pat work as a secretary for the Wilmington Group, Inc, for her first job out of college and later worked for the Salem Housing Authority in Salem, NH where she lived for 16 years, after her marriage. She and her husband, Laurence, later moved to Philadelphia, PA and Pat was an Administrative Assistant to the President of Homelink, a home social service organization.

She served on many church committees throughout the many places they lived, during her husband's career as an Episcopal Minister. Upon retirement, Pat was involved in the All Saints' Parish Thrift Shop in Rehoboth Beach, DE and later become their Volunteer Coordinator. Later, she served on several committees of the Homeowners' Association of Indian Summer Village in Millsboro, DE where they had their first owned home.

Pat is survived by her husband of 57 years, The Rev. Laurence H. Miller; one son, Mark Steve Miller and his wife, Jo-Ann of Menifee, CA; one daughter, Julie Wilson and her husband, Gary of Rehoboth Beach, DE; a brother, W. Leon Walls, Jr of York, PA; six grandchildren, Chrysta Ann MacBlain (John) of Milford, DE, Gavin, Kylie Ann and Brittany Ann Wilson of Newark, DE, Brendan and Leah Ann Wilson of Rehoboth Beach, De, Michael Miller (Theresa) of Tewksbury, MA, Tasha Feilzer (Baron) of Ontario, CA and two great grandchildren, all of whom she dearly loved.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Peniel United Methodist Church, 115 East Market Street, Newport De, at 4:30 p.m. where visitation will begin at 3:30 pm. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to Peniel UMC.
