Patricia Newman

Patricia Darice Newman was born 10/4/1954 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Junious Newman & Pauline Newman. She was educated in the Bristol Township School System.

Early in her career Patty became a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), due to her love for wanting to help people. She later worked and retired as a school bus driver for the Philadelphia School District.

Patty had an infectious smile that would light up the room, it made others feel comfortable & special. She was very adventurous and a thrill seeker. Patty as she was affectionately called by friends & family loved life and cherished everyday with her children. Patty being the only child loved her cousins and claimed them as her own brothers and sisters. She was a lover of nature and could always be found singing and tending to her many plants which always filled the room.

Patty lived everyday as her last, and cherished everyone she came in contact with, she was very selfless. She loved God and was excited to show her love for Christ. She was very adamant about sharing how God changed her life and and wanted everyone to have that same relationship with God.

Patty struggled with severe respiratory issues but remained confident that God would bless her with a miracle. God showed up and showed out and we were blessed to have her with us for 3 more years. Even throughout her illness and in spite of her situation Patty remained full of life. What made her the happiest was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. All her grandchildren call her Ma because she said she was way too cute to be called grandma. Patty adored her mother as well. They did everything that they could together. Patty’s love for her mother was unparalleled to none.

Patty leaves to cherish her memory: her loving mother Pauline Newman; Her 5 children, Wynona, Tasha, Julious, Fredric & Russell. Her adopted children Michael & Kelli; Her 13 grandchildren, Crystal, Shakella, Marquis, Noah, Joseph, Russell Jr. Nyje, Raven, LJ, Xzaviour, Khalil, Rylie, & Royce; Her 3 great-grandchildren, Lailah, Harper & Jaylen. In addition to 2 daughter in-laws Jeanette & Tamika, a special granddaughter, Dariel, and a host of family, friends, relatives and extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 25 at Community Baptist Church, 225 Radcliffe St, Bristol, PA 19007 where visitation will be from 8 am to 10 am. Burial will follow at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
