Patricia Roberts

Patricia Regina Roberts, age 92, of Newark, formerly of Wilmington, went to touch the face of God after a long and resilient campaign against adversity, which she fought fearlessly to stay with her family.

Pat was a 1948 graduate of Wilmington High School. She worked at Hercules as a lab assistant before becoming a homemaker.

Pat enjoyed bowling, tennis, bingo, and watching her friend Bill Haley and the Comets. She also enjoyed roller skating which is where she met her husband.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Theodore, who passed in 2000, and her brother, Raymond Skura.

She is survived by her sister, Martha "Marty" Bartkowski; sons, J. Gary Roberts (Jeannett), Daniel M. Roberts and Douglas A. Roberts; grandchildren, Brandon, Misty, Dana, and Christian; and several great grandchildren, including Ava and Dakota who lived with her.

Services will be at 12:30 pm on Thursday, December 15 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at 12 pm. Burial will follow at 2 pm at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road Bear, DE.
