Patricia Spinden

Patricia A. Spinden, age 77, of Wilmington, earned her wings on Monday, March 11, 2019.

Pat operated Pat’s Day Care for over 20 years. She also worked as a bartender at the Moose New Castle 1578 Lodge and the Newcastle Elks Lodge. Pat enjoyed Delaware Park, the beach, playing bingo, and spending time with her family.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Donald L. Spinden; her daughter, Donna Spinden; her son, Donald L. “Butch” Spinden; and her brother, Larry Cassidy

Survivors include her daughters, Trish Spinden (Elmer), Kim Patone (Pete), and Debbie Spinden; her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Cassidy; her grandchildren, Mikel (Nicole), Mathew, Marc (Ali), Brittany, Heather and Deena; and her great grandchild, Tyler.

Funeral Services will be at 11 am on Friday, March 15 at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis St. Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10 am. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
