Patrick James McGinnis
Dover - Patrick James McGinnis of Dover, DE, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2022, at the age of 59.
Pat was born on August 16, 1962 in Dover at Kent General Hospital. Pat was a graduate of Smyrna High class of 1980 and received an associate’s Degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Pat’s main jobs consisted of graphic artist , auto painter and Pat was currently working for Sunnyfield Construction Company of Dover, DE.
Pat was a bit of a history and geography buff, artist, musician, and member of Smyrna Clayton Moose Lodge # 2046. Pat was a band member with a group called “Uncle Sham” that had a pretty big following in the Sarasota, Florida, area one of the great joys of his life. Pat also had a soft spot for animals and had a rescue cat he named Horace “He loved that cat.”
Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Maurice McGinnis; his mother, Muriel Grace (Beltz) McGinnis; his sister, Susan C. (Hancock) McGinnis.
Survived by his brother, Michael B. McGinnis and Sister-in Law, Jaimie Lee McGinnis of Middletown, DE, uncle, Walter G. McGinnis JR and Miss Iris of Smyrna, DE.
Pat will be missed.
