Paul W. Jones, Jr. (Bumpsy) age 78, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024.
Paul was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, in Aston, and a US Navy Veteran. Paul started his career as a surveyor for the State of Pennsylvania. Upon leaving that position he was employed by The Franklin Mint in the Quality Control Department for over 20 years. At the startup of QVC, Paul was hired to build and manage the Quality Department. He was employed at QVC for 10+ years. While at QVC, Paul also owned a retail store, The Quilted Horse, and did what he loved- refinishing, restoring and selling antiques. Paul ventured away from corporate life and started a successful business, Design Quest, with his partner Andy, where they designed, manufactured and sold collectible products. His career enabled him to travel the world for over 30 years.
Upon his retirement, he enjoyed designing and making jewelry, carving sculptures from driftwood and spending time on The Chesapeake Bay.
Paul will be deeply missed by his wife of 41 years, Kathleen (Trofa); his daughter, Brynn and son-in-law, Jacob West of Georgetown, Kentucky; his extended family and friends and his pup, Abby.
Services will be private.
