Pearl Mills

Pearl returned to her heavenly family on Friday, January 16, 2015 to be reunited with her parents, Mabel and Randall Murphy, and to the open arms of her husband of 74 years, Harold S. Mills, Sr. who passed away in 2013 and her daughter Carol Ann who was lost at birth.

Pearl leaves behind 6 children, Harold Jr., Wayne, Lynda, Jay Sr., Joey and Terri. She also leaves behind many loving in-laws, 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and her best friend, Maryann Dixon-Powell, the Angel who always made her laugh.

Pearl was a woman of multiple talents, a devoted wife, a loving mother, a nurse, a bookkeeper, an expert cook, a teacher, a seamstress, a referee, and story teller and our best friend.

Pearl will be remembered for her grace, wisdom, loving heart, delicious vegetable soup, decorative handmade quilts and most of all her infectious laughter.

Funeral services will be 11am on Friday, January 23 in the chapel at Gracelawn Memorial Park, N. DuPont PKWY, New Castle, where visitation will begin at 10am.
