Peter J. Siekierda, age 65, of New Castle, formerly of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
Poppop Pete was a jack of all trades. He owned his own Auto Mechanic shop and worked at countless others over the years.
He enjoyed fishing, baseball, watching the Phillies and the Eagles, and vacationing to the beach with his nephew, Josh and grandson, Jordan. Poppop Pete was always ready to lend a helping hand and his sister always thanked him for keeping her pool up and running.
Poppop Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Jacqueline; son, Peter Jr.; and niece, Donna.
Survivors include his daughter, Louise (Josh Berrios); son, Jacob Siekierda (Gabrielle); sisters, Katherine Dow, Cynthia Battisto (Robert) and Jennifer Netta (Mike); grandchildren, Aurionna Berrios, Giannia Berrios, Nate Siekierda, Jordan Berrios and Niko Berrios and a host of nieces and nephews
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street Newport, DE 19804, where visitation will begin at Noon.
