Phoebe E. Kuhn, age 92, of wilmington, DE, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2009.
Phoebe was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the ladies auxiliary of Diamond State VFW Post 2863 and was a District 2 president from 1956 to 1957. She also volunteered at the VA Hospital in Elsmere.
Phoebe was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Howard A. Kuhn, Sr. in 1991. She is survived by her son, Howard A. Kuhn, Jr. and his wife Joann of Georgetown, DE; grandchildren;, Howard A. Kuhn, III and his wife Jill and Elizabeth Cote and her husband Paul, and great grandson, Justin Shaw.
Funeral Services will be 1pm on Friday, September 11 at NICHOLS-GILMORE Funeral Home 212 E. Justis St. Newport, where visitation will begin at Noon. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Lancaster Ave. DuPont RD., Wilmington.
The family suggests contributions in Phoebe's memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 5610 Kirkwood Highway, Wilm. DE 19808
