Raymond H. Moorehead, age 61, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2017.
Ray enjoyed his work as a sanitation worker for 27 years for the city of New Castle. He loved playing shuffle board as a member of St. Anthony’s in New Castle and was a big fan of the Washington Redskins.
Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah; his father, Charles Irvin; and his three brothers, William, Charles, and Allen. Survivors include his brother Joseph Moorehead, his sister, Roberta Hood; 9 nephews and nieces and many great nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions made to Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
