Richard B. “Ricky” Gold Sr, age 61, of Newark, formerly of Newport, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Rick was a 1981 graduate of Wilmington High School. He was a self-employed carpenter with Gold Property Group for many years. Rick previously worked at Lowes then Shones Lumber. He was a member of the New Castle County Softball League.
Rick enjoyed softball and baseball and going to his girls sporting events. He was a fan of the Phillies, Flyers and Oakland Raiders. He enjoyed woodworking, his dogs and always helping others even throughout his courageous battle with cancer. He was so strong and a fighter all the way to the end.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, William Gold and Evelyn Pennington.
Survivors include, Andrea Gold; daughters, Madison Gold and Morgan Gold; son, Richard Gold Jr (Doris); siblings, Barb Allen (Bob), Joey Gold, Bobby Gold, Cathy Gold Gibson; grandchildren, Gemma, R. Brian Gold III and Vivian and other extended family.
Funeral Services will be private.
