Age 57, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013.
Rick was the son of the late Joseph and Nadine Boruta. He worked as an Elevator Mechanic for Local 5 for the past 30 years. Rick was a member of St. Matthew's Church. He enjoyed fishing , crabbing, gardening and was an avid Phillies fan. Rick will be remembered best for his devotion to his family.
Rick is survived by his wife of 31 years, Tina M. Boruta; his children, Andrew, Eric and Rachael Boruta; his sisters, Laurie Bridgeman (Patrick) and Leslie Kaczmarczyk; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 AM on Monday, October 28th at St. Matthew's Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Woodcrest. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday, October 27 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. Justis St., Newport 19804. Burial will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
The family suggests contributions in Rick's memory for Rachael's education. Please make checks out to Rachael Boruta and either mail or drop them off at Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home.
