Robert Swain

Bob, a lifelong resident of Elsmere, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 24, 2015. Bob was a Real Estate agent for over 20 years with Patterson Schwartz. He was a Planing Commissioner on the Elsmere Planning Commission. Bob was a 1985 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School. He enjoyed cooking and outdoor activities especially camping and kayaking.

Bob is survived by his wife, Gladys Chamberlain Swain; step-son, Preston Chamberlain; parents, David P. and Sondra R. "Sandy" Swain; sisters and brother, Sharon Wright (Charles Young), Daniel Swain, Susan Eveland (Elwood), Denise Reburn, Ruthann Will (John) and Jennifer Patterson (Chris Schneider) and 18 nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11 AM on Friday, July 31 at RICHARDSON PARK UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 11 N. Maryland Ave, where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will be private. The family would appreciate in lieu of flowers that contributions in Bob's memory be made to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
