Bob attended Brown Vo-Tech before serving in the Army National Guard. He retired from Anchor Motor Freight in Newport after 37 years. Bob co-owned Blackbird Micro Midgets with his brother, Lewis. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, woodworking and spending time with his family.
Bob was preceded in death by five of his siblings. Survivors include his sister, Mary V. Lynch (Roxanna, DE); and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, December 2 at NICHOLS-GILMORE FUNERAL HOME, 212 East Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804 where visitation will begin at 10am. Burial will follow in St. James Episcopal Church Cemetery, Newport.
The family would appreciate contributions in Bob's memory to the SPCA.
