Robert, loving husband of Hedwig (Jaozia) died at the age of 81 after living a long enjoyable life.
A Delaware resident since after high school, he was an engineering graduate of General Motors institute (now Kettering University) and worked as an engineer for General Motors, Ronson Corp, Motor Wheel Corp. and Keene Corp (now Arlon). He also worked as a project manger for the Reybold Group and taught college for two years. He ran an automotive mail order and flee market business for 25 years.
He was active in the Boy Scouts for 20 years and was avid back packer and camper. He participated in the Middletown “Hummers Day” Parade for over 25 years, portraying the disgraced public figure of the year past.
His hobbies were sailing, American industrial History and antique cars. He was a long-time member of several local and national antique cars during his lifetime.
He leaves a loving wife (Hedwig); a son Robert of New Castle, De; a daughter Barbara of Austin, Tx and a granddaughter Joclle Marchiani world traveler.
There will be no viewing or service.
Bob contributed to the Sunday Breakfast Mission, Studebaker National Museum and AACA Library and would be honor if donations were made in his name.
