Roland E. Bianchi, age 59, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.
Roland, who was known to everyone as Chip, taught Language Arts for 34 years, most of which were spent with his beloved students and colleagues at Thomas Jefferson Middle School in Teaneck, New Jersey. He retired on Jan 1, 2019. Roland was a fan of baseball and especially liked the New York Mets.
Roland is preceded in death by his father Roland O. Bianchi who passed away in March of 2022.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Lisa Lenz Bianchi; mother, Joan Bianchi; sons, Christopher D. Bianchi and Jackson A. Bianchi; sister, Maria Blank (Bob); brother, Michael Bianchi (Sharon); nieces Laura Stuart (T.J.) and their son Robby, Corinne Lombardi (Chris), and Lisa Damiano (John).; sister-in-law, Lucie A. Lenz and Linda Rapp (John), nephew-in-law Philip Rapp; niece-in-law Olivia Harrington (Sean) and their children Lane and Gwen.
A memorial service at Saint Anastasia’s Church in Teaneck will be planned for later this fall. A memorial celebration of Chip’s life for colleagues, former students, and friends will be announced early this winter.
