Ron “Pop” Green, age 69, of Claymont, formerly of Newark, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.
Ron graduated from Avon Grove High School. He then served in the U.S. Army before working as an auto mechanic at various Wilmington locations including Tri State Lift Truck. Ron was a big Eagles fan. He enjoyed drag racing at Cecil County Drag Way, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Barbara Green and his brother, Kenny Hegesi.
Survivors include his son, Justin Green; his sister, Joyce Hegesi; his brothers, Roger Hegesi, Vance Stanley, and Timothy Hegesi; and his grandchildren, Anthony Pavina, Bishop Pavina, Aubbry Allen, Brandon Bryant, Breanna Bryant and Jacob Geistel.
Services and Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ron’s memory can be made to Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport, DE 19804 to assist with the funeral expenses.
