Ronald S. Ober, age 57 of Wilmngton, De passed away quietly on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at his home in the presence of his family.
Ronald was the son of Anna Ober and the late Charles Ober and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 626 of New Castle.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Germany for 3 years and a member of American Legion Post 17 of Lewes, DE. Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, antiques, gardening, especially proud of his hot peppers, and loved being with his family.
He was preceeded in death by his father, Charles in 2009. He is survived by his wife, Donna of 23 years; his two sons, Ronald Jr (Amy) and Jerry (Ana); his daughter, Brandy M.; his nine grandchildren; his mother, Anna M.; his brother, Kenneth H.; his nephew, K.C.
Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Nichols Gilmore Funeral Home, 212 E. Justis Street, Newport DE 19804. Interment services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear De.
