Rose worked for the DuPont Company in Downtown Wilmington, retiring in 1985 after 47 years of service. She was a very self sufficient woman as she sewed her own clothes and made her own furniture and lamps. Rose enjoyed gardening and loved animals, especially cats and companion dogs and she supported the Delaware Humane Association.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Wm Canby Brown III in 1988. She is survived by her nephews and nieces.
Services and burial will be private.
