Rowena Allen

Mae went to The Lord on Sunday, January 18th, 2015.

Mae was a homemaker and a member of Holy Spirit Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening and had a great love of flowers. She also enjoyed learning of her family genealogy.


Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Allen in 1982; her grandson, Douglas R. Allen, Jr. in 1993; and 10 of her siblings.

She is survived by her children, Douglas R. Allen, Sr. (Ginger), Philip V. Allen (Lorna), Kathleen A. Johnston (Douglas) and Paul T. Allen (Laura); grandchildren, Brian Allen, Sean Johnston and Eric Johnston; great grandchild, Stone Douglas Allen; and sisters, June Mulligan and Mary Dilks.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, January 26th, at Holy Spirit Church 12 Winder Road, New Castle, DE 19720 where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions towards the Education Fund for Stone.
