Sarah “Sally” Scott
Age 87, of Lima, Pa., formerly of Camden-Wyoming and Newport, Del., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014.
After attending Bryn Mawr Hospital Nursing School, Sarah worked as a psychiatric nurse at Haverford State Hospital for many years until she retired in 1980. She then volunteered with Delaware Hospice from 1990 to 1995.
Sarah was a member of several United Methodist churches, most recently the Wyoming United Methodist Church of Wyoming, Del., and Peniel United Methodist Church of Newport, Del. She enjoyed motorhome traveling with her husband across Canada and United States, including Alaska.
Sarah is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis S. Scott, and is survived by her son, Gary E. Scott (Kathryn), and daughter, Sarah Beth Orchinik (Carlton), her sister Lois Stewart and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Malvern United Methodist Church, 16 Monument Ave., Malvern, Penn. Burial will be private.
The family suggests contributions in Sarah’s memory be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor, Newark, Del., 19711, 302-478-5707.
